Your donation allows Kumarangk Hindmarsh Island Landcare Group to continue their revegetation work on the Island. This means funding the cost of growing the thousands of plants we put in the ground each year. In addition we need to pay our hard-working planting team who keep going through all sorts of weather during Autumn and Winter to get those plants in the ground, watered and guarded.
Plus we have the boring things to pay for - electricity, insurance, maintenance.
Maybe your donation will make sure our dedicated volunteers will have tea and coffee to sustain them through their weekly working bees - never underestimate the power of a morning tea break :-)

Yes you can!

Of course there is.
If you live locally have a look at our volunteer page. There are many things our volunteers do that keep us running - we are nothing without them.
If you aren’t local, follow us on social media, spread the message. You probably have a local Landcare group or Friends of Parks & Nature group - or you can start your own!
There is no Planet B - let’s do all we can to care for this one.

We would love to hear how you want your donation spent.
It costs about $8- from go to whoa to grow and get a plant in the ground. (This cost is of course based on large numbers going in at once and wouldn’t apply to us growing a single plant).
Often we can obtain grant funding that will pay for the cost of planting, guards, watering but will not cover the cost of growing the plant.
Rarely will grants be available that cover the day-to-day running costs of the nursery itself.
Every bit helps us continue our journey.
